Evidence and Examples
-
Departmental Funding Gap Assessment
The first artifact is a spreadsheet I developed to identify and assess gaps in departmental funding opportunities during my internship at the university's Scholar and Grant Development Office (SGDO). This tool was later used to evaluate the effectiveness of services provided by the SGDO, offering insight into existing systems and areas for improvement. By collecting and analyzing this data, I demonstrated my ability to evaluate organizational practices and contribute to informed decision-making. This artifact reflects my adherence to Competency 9 of the Council on Social Work Education (2015), showcasing my capacity to use evaluation as a means of enhancing service delivery and guiding future interventions.

Grant Awardee Process Evaluation Survey
The second artifact is a survey tool I created using the university's online platform to conduct a needs assessment of the internal grant awardee application process. Distributed to past award recipients, the survey gathered feedback on their experiences and identified potential areas for improvement. This data informed a broader evaluation of the grant process and supported the development of a macro-level change initiative. Through this multi-faceted approach, I demonstrated my ability to evaluate practice across systems and apply findings to promote organizational growth, in alignment with CSWE's Competency 9.
